Prototype:
After the two world wars, many military locomotives found their way to narrow gauge lines in across Europe. For example, the narrow gauge railroads of Mecklenburg and Pommern acquired tender locomotives, which offered the additional coal and water capacity necessary to cover the long distances found on these lines.

Use the included power cable to connect loco to tender, note the included walkway in place for fireman to move safely between loco and tender.
The included non-skid fireman's walkway snaps into the frame of the rear pathway on the loco and allows the fireman to move safely between loco and tender. It slides into the slot built into all LGB motorized tenders and provides a safe walkway even while the loco turns on R1 curves.
